Is there anything wrong with pink colored guns? No, but there are those (mostly guys) who complain about it. Magpul even sells pink colored versions of some of their AR-15 parts, so they know what sells and that women are one of the most important new groups of potential customers.

If someone wants to add pink parts to their gun to make it cute, let them. It’s the same reasoning some guys refinish their guns in multicam or whatever finish they think is badass to them.

I would have thought it was more important to actually hit the target, not what color the gun is. I’d shoot a pink rifle if I could still bullseye the target with it. /shrug.

Blizzard themselves didn’t even care to make Sylvanas ‘true to lore’ (ie some sort of disgustingly tortured, rotting corpse), so I really don’t see the point of ragging on someone who… didn’t make their character ‘true to lore appearances’ is what I’m saying. You made it a point to bring up Sylvanas’s in-game model being inaccurate when they were updated for ‘authenticity’. As far as Word of God goes, that’s what she looks like.

First of all do you call every random stranger on the internet “Hon”? That would explain a few things if so. Stop doing that. Your passive-aggressive attempts at seeming clever aren’t really doing you much justice here.

Sorry for being a bitch, but this is really not cool. Yes, your artwork is good, your style is very cute, but in the Warcraft Universe, Death Knights are Arthas’ self-made killing machines. They are both bloodthirsty and calculating in battle. They’re essentially shock troops, relying on tactics of intimidation and fear. That’s how they’re trained. I wouldn’t be particularly intimidated by some scrawny Elf woman in a plate bikini with too much lipstick and a flower in her hair, and neither would the enemies of Acherus.
Not to mention how the idea of a plate bikini is utterly ridiculous, sexist and impractical.
There’s nothing sexy about an objectified corpse.
If you’re going to ignore the lore of the WoW universe and won’t listen to constructive criticism, then you need to toughen up and not complain when people start saying they dislike your character concept.

Sylvanas is a Banshee, not a Death Knight. A possessed spirit ghost biotch thing. Not a walking corpse who is canonically addicted to causing pain and suffering and also haunted by the spirits of the underworld.

Then she turned on Arthas.

The two aren’t 1:1 though. Banshee != 3rd generation death knight. Besides, it’s canon that she apparently reclaimed her body which probably means that the in game model is not accurate of the actual character since she was tortured, mutilated, and eventually killed before having her soul ripped out. Possessing her original body only would mean that she would be on a similar path of eventual corpse-decay. Though surrounded by Forsaken it’s a wonder that anyone would notice or care. Also here: the true Sylvanas by the guy that wrote most of the lore. =)

Annnnd they had plenty of opportunity to change her model into that … … not even remotely grotesque looking thing you posted (actually, she’s hotter, 10/10 would still bang thoroughly). But when they updated it, you know, they didn’t.

Her first model was of a generic Night Elf, then they updated it to the Blood Elf model that you see now. I’m not really sure where you were going with that whole in-game model thing, because they clearly have the skill to make guro-worthy models, but decided to make her homecoming queen, part-time model pretty.

You know the shenanigans going on all over my dashboard today really drives my personal choice these days of why I don’t walk up RP or fill out MRP’s for my characters anymore.

I play to have fun and let me tell you, the aura of ‘omg look @ that bad MRP omgomg screencap-share-tumblr-omgomg LOL…

This is how I feel. Flat out. It’s why I don’t want to rp, why I have no interest in interacting with others, etc. Because I don’t want to be mocked for how I spend my imaginary time. *grumbles*

I don’t have any of mine filled out. I just go with the idea of “If you want to know about my character, RP with me.”

See I don’t buy this. Like not at all. There are literally hundreds of MRP’s that receive no comment what-so-ever or are praised by the vast majority and I can tell you that it’s quite formulaic. It doesn’t take a genius to see what that formula is, either.

At that point I become divided on the subject. If you are afraid of MRP or having an MRP then there is likely something in particular you are afraid of people seeing/knowing/finding out about your character that you aren’t particularly proud of or you know you’ll get some bad judgement for doing it (i.e. playing a belf vampire or belf demon or living and sexually rapacious death knight).

Or you have some twisted up rock-bottom sense of self worth and you feel your writing isn’t up to par with other people’s in which case I have some helpful suggestions on the matter! Just go with some physical descriptions. Like list it stat wise and make some very small and concise comments if there are any differentiations from the character model. BAM MRP in a nutshell that no one can complain about whatsoever.

Mine would be the second.

I don’t think I’ve ever had mine filled out on any of my characters. I know for Vanrael and Varaelian it was out of sheer laziness that I didn’t. But when I made Vaelios and worked on Varaelian’s character I never bothered. I figured a backstory wasn’t worth posting and something that should have been built up to find out.

IDK. That’s just my take on it.

Oh I don’t post backstories. I just describe the character. I feel that a living and breathing character are conducive to excellent RP and the better formed picture of that character I can create for others then the easier it is to sub arguably stale character models for something with true identity =) Just try a physical description only, first. I’m betting that once you start with something small you’ll easily discover that it gets easier and is quite fun =)
